We are looking for a logistic operations manager for an international IT company based in Amsterdam who will make sure that shipment (import and export) runs smoothly and al the legal requirements are fulfilled. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of experience in a inhouse trade compliance operations role, has extensive logistic experience and strong knowledge of trade compliancy.
What are you going to do?- Manage customs brokers in EMEA jurisdictions to ensure timely and compliant import/export transactions.
- Publish applicable Trade compliance operational metrics and partner with the business to develop and implement solutions for identified opportunities.
- Partner with the global compliance team to implement the operational improvements and efficiencies.
- Partner with Trade Compliance Legal to address any regulatory queries/actions.
- Project/program management

What do we ask?- BA/BS degree and/or equivalent practical experience in trade compliance operations,
- A legal and/or logistic background
- 7+ years of experience working in an in-house Trade Compliance Operations role
- Preferably experience in hi-tech / telecom industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of EU and US export/import control and EMEA country-specific trade regulations as well as demonstrated experience in customs broker management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Data analysis
