What does the role involve?
We are looking for a Procurement Program Lead to join the Nike team, for 12 months initally.
The Procurement Program Lead will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Innovation and Operations team in developing, implementing and managing comprehensive initiatives and programs within Nike Procurement EMEA. This role will work closely with the Procurement Innovation and Operations Director and the Indirect procurement category teams to primarily ensure effective SRM strategies are integrated into category plans and strategies.
In this role, you will be responsible for empowering procurement categories across EMEA to effectively manage supplier relationships, drive innovation and ultimately achieve greater value for Nike as an organization.
What will you be doing?
The Procurement Program Lead will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Innovation and Operations team in developing, implementing and managing comprehensive initiatives and programs within Nike Procurement EMEA.
- Develop and implement a robust SRM program aligned with Global procurement’s overall SRM strategy
- Leverage and adopt SRM frameworks that have been developed globally, to ensure its successful use within the EMEA landscape
- Establish clear guidelines, templates and best practices for category leads to follow in their SRM initiatives
- Act as the link between procurement category leads and procurement operations – ensuring the outputs of SRM are utilized and operationalized wherever possible (eg. Preferred Suppliers are used whenever possible)
- Develop a training program (if needed) to equip category leads with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage supplier relationships
- Establish and implement management of suppliers performance against existing contracts which guide their relationships and work with Nike
- Collaborate with the Global team on setting up and implementing robust risk assessment methodology related to indirect suppliers including EU and EMEA regulations applicable to indirect suppliers.
- Drive and promote Business Diversity and Inclusion activities with EMEA suppliers
Procurement Category Lead Guidance
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to category leads in the development and execution of their SRM strategies
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SRM initiatives across all categories within EMEA – highlight learnings and best practices to be shared with overall team
Performance Management
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the SRM program
- Track and analyze supplier performance data to identify feasible areas for improvement
- Conduct regular reviews of SRM activities and provide present findings & recommendations for optimizations
- Track tier 1 and tier 2 BDI spend with EMEA supplier base
- Establish and track sustainability measures with strategic suppliers
- Report to Global Procurement SRM office progress against established metrics
Continuous Improvement
- Continuously evaluate the SRM program and identify opportunities for improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and share with procurement team best practices within the SRM space
- Promote a culture of supplier driven innovation and collaboration within the procurement organization
Project Management
- Support other projects within the Innovation and Operations space that will have high impact to the EMEA procurement organization (eg. Manage the roll out of global tools, help drive standardization of reporting, align with global teams to build organizational roadmaps, etc)
- Lead data analysis efforts to be able to showcase data driven options in achieving key deliverables
- Apply a structured change management approach to needed changes and new opportunities to effectively accomplish project goals

- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier relationship management principles
- Experience within the fields of SRM, Contract Management Risk Management, Sustainability, BDI,
- Proven experience in cross-functional project management and program implementation in international environment
- Strong communication skills at all levels of organization
- Category Management experience is preferred but not necessary
- Proven mindset of getting things done – no project is too small or too big to lead and get your hands dirty to accomplish
